Barrier-free living exhibited at Rehacare
EDRIC board member Monika Eisenberg-Geginat recently visited the Rehacare exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany, where around 800 companies showed off their innovative products designed to enable and promote independent living.
Rehacare describes itself as, "The most important trade fair worldwide for rehabilitation, prevention, inclusion and care. For more than 30 years, it has created an ideal platform and meeting point for communication between market leaders in the industry, innovative newcomers in the field of products and services, as well as for social organisations, self-help groups and non-commercial institutions."
Exhibits included equipment to assist with basic needs such as independent eating and bathing to more adventurous pursuits as adaptations for skiing. Also on display were assistive robotics and travel and leisure products for people with disabilities.
