Prosthetics access in the UK - report
In the UK, Channel 4 News has this week being running a series of feature looking at the legacy of the Paralympics for people with disabilities.
Far from changing the attitudes of the majority to people who may not be quite as nimble as Oscar Pistorius, the series has highlighted quite how difficult it is for disabled people to travel or access the right care in a timely manner.
UK charity, Limbcare, has produced a report that gives a statistical overview of the UK's prosthetics services on the National Health Service and contributed to one of the Channel 4 reports entitles: 'Blade runner' not reality for most amputees.
