ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND DISABILITY – DysNet took part in the specific video conference organized by #EDF-European Disability Forum last October 3, 2023 with focus on AI. Artificial intelligence, inclusive education and employment potential to greatly improve the lives of persons with disabilities, but also its potential risks. DysNet as an EDF’s Member will actively follow the two-year project with the following aims: - advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities in relation to the development and use of AI technologies - expand the knowledge of the European disability rights movement Details available.
My relationship with technology has been both challenging and transformative because I live with a disability. I feel incredibly empowered by the development of artificial intelligence; features like predictive text and real-time captioning have dismantled obstacles that seemed insurmountable. I used the Academic Poster Service for a recent project, which provided a lovely and easily readable template. It improved the clarity, confidence, and inclusivity of my research presentations.
