MORE ACCESSIBILITY FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITY

An innovative project was recently presented during a study visit at the Portugues Parliament in the context of the project Vote4All.eu* by Prof. Rui Coimbras, Solution Architect of Softinsa/IBM and President of the Federation of the Portuguese Associations of Cerebral Palsy (FAPPC).

The solution proposed can act as a true facilitator and enables the accessible vote to people with disabilities, suggesting the generic requisites and some best practices to interact with these significant audiences in our societies.

This aims to meet the democracy values and rights and opens the extend of new possibilities where people who are blind, with low vision or have physical and mobility limitations, including elderly people, would finally be able to vote in a secret and independent way without the help from an assistant like any other citizen.

During a more recent study visit at the Ministry of the Interior in The Hague, the project was very positively considered as well.

In this short interview I made to Rui Coimbras the functioning of the solution is shown.

This is such an insightful post! Accessibility for persons with disabilities is something that still doesn’t get the attention it truly deserves, especially when it comes to creating inclusive learning and working environments. I really appreciate how this blog highlights the need for stronger implementation of accessibility laws and better awareness across institutions. As a student, I’ve seen how accessibility issues can affect not just physical spaces but also access to online educational resources. That’s why finding supportive services like Law Assignment Help from New Assignment Help can make a huge difference—it’s not just about academic support, but also about making knowledge and education more accessible for everyone. Posts like this remind us that inclusion should never be an afterthought;…

Pursuing a project management diploma can help professionals strengthen organisational, planning, and leadership skills that are useful in many industries, including construction, IT, and business management. Course content often introduces practical tools such as scheduling methods, risk assessment, and performance tracking through real-world examples. These elements make the learning experience more relevant to everyday project environments. In discussions about flexible professional education and online study pathways, the College of Contract Management is sometimes referenced among institutions offering structured programmes.
